Dr. Joshua Borneman

My prior research has been in electro-optical systems and image processing to evaluate laser dazzling susceptibility of electro-optic systems. This work developed quantitative metrics usable within existing optical system mission performance models. Our current research focus is on creating intelligent systems for expeditionary warfare. Several research projects are underway on AI/ML analysis of sensor data, sensor architectures, and automated fire control. The research goal is to improve the quality of information presented to a warfighter, and enable faster decisions with lower cognitive load.
