JCAT will host the 2021 Threat Weapons & Effects Training at Eglin Air Force Base, FL, on 17 – 19 August 2021 (not Hurlburt, as done in previous years). This annual training event is a collaborative effort between the Joint Combat Assessment Team, U.S. Army Aviation Research Laboratory, Naval Air Systems Command, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Missile and Space Intelligence Center, National Ground Intelligence Center, and other agencies. The training draws information from threat exploitation, live fire testing, and combat experience to provide a complete picture on threat lethality. Hands-on experience is provided, with threat munitions/missiles, test articles, and damaged aircraft hardware. Experienced professionals provide current, relevant information on threat system upgrades, proliferation, and lethality.

Registration is open to U.S. citizens only.
REGISTRATION IS LIMITED TO 200 ATTENDEES. ADDITIONAL REGISTRANTS WILL BE PLACED ON A WAITLIST.
Seating is limited for TWE, i.e., the Eglin Enlisted Hall. We can guarantee two seats per unit, with additional seats filled on a first-come-first-served basis. If your plans change after registration, please notify the DSIAC or JCAT ASAP so your reserved seat can be made available to another interested party.
Monday, August 16: Check-In and Security In-Processing:
Pre-registration will be from 5 pm – 8 pm on Monday, August 16 at the Holiday Inn Resort, Fort Walton Beach, FL. Registrants will receive a badge and final program at this time.
Late check-in and security in-processing will be available one hour prior to the conference start time at the Eglin Enlisted Hall.

Daily morning and afternoon beverages, as well as associated food items, will be made available by the TWE support team. The one-time payment for this service will be collected, but no receipt will be provided. Based on the Joint Travel Regulation, this payment must be paid out of the traveler’s per diem and cannot be reimbursed as an additional expense.
A more in-depth schedule will be published closer to the event. Due to COVID-19, TDY travel is being stressed. For this reason, JCAT will publish a more thorough schedule at a later date.

Transportation between the airport, host hotel, and Eglin Enlisted Hall WILL NOT be provided. Attendees will be responsible for their own transportation. Carpooling is encouraged. Please note the location of visitor parking at the Eglin Enlisted Hall on the next page. Bus transportation will be provided from Eglin AFB to the Eglin AFB test ranges to accommodate the live fire demonstrations.
Contractor attendees should expect an extended delay when driving through the entrance to Eglin AFB. Please consider carpooling in a DoD, member-driven vehicle or allow an additional 19 minutes travel time.

The Eglin Enlisted Hall is located at the northwest corner of the BX complex. Below is a picture of the parking area for the Enlisted Hall.
Security Deadline: 23 July 2021
The security classification of the training is SECRET/NOFORN. No foreign nationals are permitted at the training. To be admitted to the training sessions, submit a security certification form or JPAS visit request (PREFERRED) in advance and provide a government-issued photo identification on-site. You may download the certification form from the conference website. Please note that the form requires a need-to-know certification for all Government contractors.

Briefcases, large purses, cell phones, pagers, and other electronics are NOT allowed inside the auditorium and must be left outside the auditorium doors. Ziplock bags and a designated table will be provided for own-risk placement of devices.
Messages will be posted on the TWE message board in the auditorium. A message center phone number will be provided at registration.
Appropriate dress for this training is duty uniform for military or business casual for civilians. Range demonstrations currently scheduled for Tuesday will be conducted in field conditions. Weather conditions at the ranges can vary from sunny and dry to rain and mud. Please plan accordingly.
Tuesday Evening Event:
There will be a casual, no-host social Tuesday evening at The Gulf.
