Host:
PMA272

PMA272 will host the 23nd Advanced Technology Electronic Defense Systems (ATEDS) Conference, on 29-30 August 2017 in San Diego CA. The conference will be held at the Pavilion of the Hilton La Jolla Hotel. The opening session will start at 8 am on Tuesday, August 29th  and  conclude no later than 4 pm on Wednesday August 30th.

PMA272 is NAVAIRSYSCOM's program office responsible for Electronic Warfare (EW) Aircraft Self-Protection Equipment (ASE) for Navy and Marine Corps tactical aircraft.  The ATEDS conference provides PMA272 an annual opportunity to conduct a forum between the warfighter, program management and field activities, military research laboratories, the intelligence community, test & evaluation activities, other military services and industry.

The objective is to gather the Joint and Department of the Navy (DoN) Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) community and explore the use of the electromagnetic environment in order to improve aircraft survivability.  The conference focus on the employment of advanced ASE in supporting cross domain operations aligns with the Navy’s maturing Electro-magnetic Maneuver Warfare (EMW) Strategy.  The emphasis on Joint integration adheres to DoD and service guidance by seeking enhanced mission effectiveness and cost efficiency through the development of common programs and capabilities. The agenda offers two days of classified briefings on a range of topics including relevant threat updates, department and service guidance, emerging operational concepts and potential “game changing” technologies.

There is no conference fee associated with ATEDS.

A block of rooms has been reserved for the ATEDS conference on a first-come, first-served basis at the Hilton La Jolla, 10950 North Road, La Jolla, California 92037. Rooms will be reserved at the federal government per-diem rate for San Diego, which is $149.00.

We have received formal conference approval  from the Department of the Navy, Assistant for Administration (DON AA). The approval letter, dated 15 June,  is available per the Supporting Documentation tab.
