ANNAPOLIS, MD (June 16, 2015) – At the 2015 Paris Air Show, Maryland Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford, together with representatives from SURVICE and U.K.-based Malloy Aeronautics, announced that the two companies have teamed up on the development of Hoverbike technology for the U.S. Department of Defense.

The Hoverbike, a model of which is on display at this year’s show (which runs through 21 June), is being developed to operate as a new class of tactical reconnaissance vehicle (TRV).  SURVICE and Malloy are developing the technology as part of an ongoing research and development (R&D) contract with the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, the nation’s premier organization for developing technology and engineering solutions for land forces.
