Penn State’s College of Engineering researchers will develop an optimized method of 3-D printing high-strength alloys for the U.S. Army. According to the article, the team will use computer modeling for this project. This will help identify a Laser Directed Energy Deposition (L-DED)-based setup capable of printing more robust metals with enhanced material efficiency.
