Marcus Young, Ph.d.

Marcus Young is the Associate Professor and Associate Department Chair for Undergraduate Program at the University North Texas. His research group is focused on the development, processing, and characterization of structural alloys, metal composites, and porous metallic materials, as well as examining modern and ancient art historical objects. Dr. Young has a Ph.D. in materials science engineering from Northwestern University, a B.S. in metallurgical and materials science and engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, a B.F.A. in ceramics from the University of North Texas, and a B.F.A. in sculpture from the University of North Texas.
