MaryAnne Fields is a mathematician at the ARL’s Vehicle Technology Directorate, serving as the lead for the Intelligent Control Team. Her research interests include planning with uncertain information, semantic spatial understanding, robotic behavior algorithms, and multiagent systems. She recently finished the Autonomous Squad Member project, a multiservice effort funded under the OSD’s Autonomous Research Pilot Initiative. Currently a senior editor for the Journal of Intelligent and Robotics Systems, she has served as a reviewer for the IROS and ICRA conferences and written over 20 publications. Dr. Fields received a Ph.D. in mathematics from Clemson University in 1988.
