This issue features an article discussing the design of a prototype head-up display (HUD) that was performance tested against the traditional head down-displays (HDD) used by Bradley and Stryker drivers. The objective of this study is to improve the ability of drivers in armored vehicles to more effectively interpret and respond to environmental conditions and dynamic events in their surroundings. An additional article highlights a recent award given to the director of WSTIAC by Defense Standardization Program Office (DSPO). This award recognizes individuals and organizations that have effected significant improvements in quality, reliability, readiness, cost reduction, and interoperability through standardization.
