How can experts engage with the Joint CENTCOM-OSD SmartHub Working Group and subgroups?

DSIAC was provided with SmartHub-related documents including an Executive Summary, White Paper, and Working Group Charter for review and comment. A teleconference was held with the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Logistics & Engineering Directorate (CCJ4) personnel to discuss the SmartHub initiative, joint coordination with the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), general plans for implementation, potential areas of DSIAC support to include subject matter experts (SMEs) for the Working Group and subgroups, technology horizon scanning, and review of programmatic documentation to provide observations. DSIAC SMEs reviewed all documentation in research, development, testing, and evaluation (RDT&E), strategic planning, policy, future defense capabilities, future operating environments, emerging technologies, threat analyses, alternative scenario planning, and investment strategies. They then provided observations in four categories:  framing, investment and innovation, SMEs, and skills management. These observations will be used to refine the White Paper and Working Group Charter.
