High-Rate Discharge Battery and Electric Motor for Space Use

What electric motor and high-rate discharge battery technologies are available for a given set of requirements for a space application?

 

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has a need for high-rate discharge batteries and electric motors that can drive an electric pump to power a set of lander engines in support of their Mars and other efforts.  DSIAC subject matter expert (SME) staff researched advanced battery/capacitor-based energy storage/generation and electric motor technologies to provide information and compare various commercially available products that might meet NASA’s requirements.
