What are recent and ongoing commercial developments for high-temperature composites?

DSIAC was asked to report on ongoing developments for high-temperature composites, including the technology readiness levels (TRL’s), expected use for the technologies, and expected performance characteristics. With the assistance from subject matter experts (SMEs) from Texas Research Institute Austin, Inc. (TRI Austin) and Johns Hopkins University Energetic Research Group (JHU ERG), DSIAC supplied the inquirer with a list of entities known to produce advanced high-temperature composite materials, contacts for additional information of U.S. government (USG) programs, and bibliographies and selected articles from the Joint Army-Navy-NASA-Air Force (JANNAF) Digital Online Collection (JDOC) and Propulsion Retrieval Information System (PIRS). In addition, the inquirer was provided a list of commercial entities, contacts for USG locations, a JDOC bibliography related to carbon cloth phenolic, a PIRS bibliography related to composite nozzle extensions, and a list of limited distribution documents related to the requested topic.
