DSIAC staff contacted the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command  Armaments Center, Product Manager Small-Caliber Ammunition, and Survivability Lethality Analysis Directorate and Combatting Terrorism Technical Support Office, National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC), Special Operations Combatant Command, and small arms/lethality subject matter experts at SURVICE Engineering, NTS-Chesapeake Testing, and Phoenix Defense for relevant information. Open-source information for materials and ballistics comparisons (velocity vs. range) and classified documents with more extensive information on materials and ballistics data were provided to the inquirer, as well as connecting the inquirer with an NGIC foreign weapons analyst for further discussions.
