What sort of measures can be taken to reduce the detection of Li-Ion battery thermal emissions by infrared sensors?

DSIAC subject matter experts (SMEs) conducted a literature search and compiled a summary of recent and relevant publications on the topic of reducing power source thermal emissions. The list of relevant reports and publications were written into a response document delivered to the inquirer.
