How would Risk of Significant Injury (RSI) parameters best be utilized in future non-lethal weapons (NLW) military solutions?

The requester was seeking a better understanding of how to articulate and include Risk of Significant Injury (RSI) parameters in future Joint Non-Lethal (NL) effects requirements documents for the Army and Marine Corps. DSIAC reached out to an in-house non-lethal weapons (NLW) subject matter expert (SME) from SURVICE Engineering to write a detailed response, that was then provided to the inquirer.
