DSIAC supported the U.S. Army and Marine Corps (USMC) effort to identify gaps in non-lethal weapons (NLW) capabilities in the activities associated with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD’s) JNLWP.

DSIAC provided communication and coordination of NLW activities across DoD Services and the broader NLW community. DSIAC provided research, recommendations, and reports for the USMC Law Enforcement/Escalation of Force Branch (LE/EoF), Force Protection Integration Division (FPID), Capabilities Development Directorate (CDD), Combat Development and Integration (CD&I), and Marine Corps Combat Development Command (MCCDC) at Quantico, VA. DSIAC researched, offered recommendations, and wrote reports for the U.S. Army Training & Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Army Capabilities Integration Center (ARCIC), Capabilities Development Directorate (CDD), Maneuver Support Division (MSD) at Joint Base Langley – Eustis (Ft. Eustis), VA.

For both LE/EoF and TRADOC ARCIC, DSIAC provided analyses and recommendations on NLW science and technology (S&T), requirements/capabilities, long-term development goals, NLW-related experiments, demonstrations, utility assessments, modeling and simulation (M&S) efforts, and war-gaming activities. DSIAC authored independent technical reports highlighting the recommendations/analyses for government review.
